The reservoir has 182,915 acre feet which is 79.8% of capacity. Unless we get a lot more snow it isn't looking good since the bureau of "reclamation" won't release unless the are forced to.

It definately ran in 2011 for at least 2 weekends. We went over memorial day weekend. It is a great river can't wait to get back there someday and run the snaggletooth section.

Ran based on rain last summer at least once. It kicked up so much sediment that it suffocated alot of fish. It is a chocolate river when it runs because it rarely flushes.

We ran the Dolores wilderness section in 2008. 1000 cfs. Awesome trip. We did Gateway to Dewey Bridge in 2010, which was awesome as well.

Floated from Bedrock to Gateway in 2011.

Definitely some boring stretches in there, but lots of cool spots as well, including a very large wave with eddy service that even an oar rig could repeat laps on

I ran it in 2000. This is a gem! There was an write up in Nat. Geo. years back about the Delores river getting the shaft and the possibility of it not running anymore due to the farming and water rights. It has ran sense then but not much. Such a waste of a great place. It was my first river to row.

Schutzie has a plan.

Read the Monkey Wrench gang.

Then meet me at the Pinto Bean Capital of the World sign in Dove Creek, Colorado at midnight on May 15, 2014.

Bring a small house boat. I will bring the rest.

If all goes as planned We'll end up with a couple of years of primo Dolores water!!
