We ran same day as seanski06... when we put on Saturday we were hopeful, the water was in the 17k range. But overnight Saturday night the river at camp came up 4" at least, ended up being above 20k on Sunday when we ran.
Same as Sean, the eddy line in Delores grabbed me and dang near swamped me. Took me 3 trips around the eddy to get out. Also the wave train down Delores had a couple of big azz holes that sent big fun waves over the front of the boat.
Once we were out, it was relatively smooth sailing. BIG left lateral in Funnel that ate me last year was even bigger this year but I avoided it completely by hanging to the right. Once I was past that my confidence was much improved.
Skull was washing out and actually sorta hard as a single oar guy to make the pull from right to left, but got over pretty well and then the current just pulled us through with a brush past the wall of shock.
Had a great time. Rained on us Sunday morning until about Funnel and then cleared off and by the time we got to the take out it was sunny.
