Upper Salt River. Does my permit have a chance?

So I landed an April 3rd Salt River permit. Based on what you Arizonan's are seeing what are the chances of the river running during this time? To complicate things I launch on the Grand on March 3rd so I have to secure this permit before I launch. What are y'all thinking? Thanks in advance for any info.. FU in advance for all smartass comments and kayaker trolls.

We also landed a trip on April 3rd. Hoping for good water, but snow pack hasn't been looking to good.

man, lucky you, grand and salt, i scored neither per normal.

upper salt basin is at 40% normal (NWCC - SNOTEL Snow Water Equivalent Update Graph) now but a good storm or two could change that fast. as hot as it's been early in the year, the runoff (when there is one) seems to keep getting earlier.

NOAA 3-month forecast for that area shows normal February and above average precip for March! (

you have any options, like IKs in case the water is low?

good luck!

disclosure, i am a new mexican, not arizonian
