My main rafting buddy and I scored some permits but I none of our usual suspects can make our dates. I can't belive how many people had some kind of conflict, but that's their loss. We're open to meeting some new folks, so let me know if you're interested. We will most likely each row boats. More rafters or kayakers are welcome.
Ruby/Westwater - Apr 7-9, two nights
Yampa - May 16-20, four nights
Snake Hells Canyon, July 26, 3-7 nights, right now this is just me
Both of us are front range family guys in our 40s, but our kids and wives aren't coming on these trips (though we aren't opposed to kids along). We're both fairly chill, but organized types. We tend to get up early and prefer to launch by 9ish so we can have camp time in the afternoon and hopefully beat the wind. We like trip partners who pitch in to unload all boats, set the kitchen and groover before doing personal gear it just makes everything go smoother. We like to eat well and enjoy a good drink but don't get too rowdy(usually
. We always leave a clean camp. Safety is important and we're more likely to scout than not. We're not rigid but trying to find like minded folks for fun trips.
Neither of us has done the Yampa before though Ladore a few times. Yampa veterans would be welcomed.
The Snake trip just has me on it right now. I'd like to combine this with a jet boat shuttle and tie in the Lower Salmon to make it a total of 7-8 rivers days. The Salmon leg 3-4 days can be before or after the Snake leg of 3-4 days, so that makes the dates a little flexible.
Feel free to ask questions but I'd rather have PM's if you're interested in a trip.
