Taos Field Office Zombies

I'm afraid the BLM Taos Field Orifice has been overrun by zombies. Is it normal for NO ONE to answer the phone there? Been trying to call the number I'm 'posed to call for Rio Chama permit postcards but nobody picks up. Even tried other lines directly and nada. Is this normal? Should I keep trying? Left a VM in the general mailbox. I can't handle all this rejection. Is it me? It's me, isn't it?

Is this the web site you are checking ?

I have been getting info from the Taos office by phone and in person for many years and they have been very customer oriented.

What time of day are you calling? Try between 930 and 11 am Monday-Friday. I called last week and they answered on the first ring.

Just got through to a very pleasant young lady. Now I only have to brace myself for more rejection when I don't get my date(s). Thanks everyone!

That operation is 'rustic' compared to other parts of the country. But generally they are helpful. It is also the middle of the winter...

Have you ever been to New Mexico? I'd be worried if they did answer.
