Still not committed to the motor, since we don't need it for the lake, but we'll see. Might give us a little more time to relax and enjoy the area. Hopefully the NPS opens back up soon so I can figure out the permits. If anyone has any beta on the current state of the Mineral Bottom put in that would be helpful. If not I may have to just take a drive out there and scout it out before we take a bunch of trailers down there.

Stillwater and Meander Canyon's are quite different. If your not bringing a motor of your own, I'm guessing you probably don't want to listen to anyone else's. Stillwater will offer a more remote, serene river trip to the center of the universe (the confluence). The road out to Mineral Bottom is in great shape. Happy Rafting!

The last 20 miles are Stillwater Canyon are some of the best scenery of the entire trip. Its one of the prettiest narrows in the west. There are some great longer hikes on the Green stretch if that is your game.

The road down is much wider which makes it more comfortable to drive. It was always drivable for an average truck (we couldn't take our semis down there for PrimalQuest and had to hire out local drivers for the sea kayaks). Its all a mental game.

Does the NPS allow folks to motor up to the end of the rapids still? If not, you won't need much help from your friends motor boat as the current goes all the way to the take out. That is unless you were gonna go all the way out to Halls or Bullfrog which to be honest is gonna cost a ton of $$$ to drag, especially considering the cost of the ride all the past Hite. Much cheaper to just carry a motor if you want to go that far. IMHO.
