ST. Joe information please

Planning to float the Joe this week, have not been on it before. How would intermediate boaters fare in Tumbledown and Skookum? Doesn't look like there is much room to line or portage. Also, rumors of a riverwide sweeper in Skookum, can that be portaged around? Thanks for any advice. Mark
