One place I called charges 170 from sand to clay hills, another charges 300 for the first and 100 each vehicle there after.

Not sure on the mexican hat, but when are you going and maybe we could coordinate something.

Sorry. The $180 was for shuttle from MexHat to Clay Hills which is a much longer shuttle. On a related note, I had a difficult time hitch hiking from MexHat up to Sand Isle. Took about 2.5 hours before getting a ride - not recommended. So many brand new Jeep Cherokees with California plates buzzing past.

Both Jim Hardin ( San Juan Shuttles) and Valleys in Mexican Hat have helped me out with shuttles, all great people, and do a good job. With Valley's, i drove my truck down to Mexican, and then he gave me a ride back up to Sand Island, which saved me some money.
Jim Hardin always has the road info for clay hills, (along with some locals insight on weather patterns down there), if your running that early season.
Think of me what you will, I got a little space to fill.

Jim usually does not do Sand Island to Mex Hat

and instead does the Clay Hills shuttle.

I kind of like Valles approach to the shuttle. They do not touch your vehicle. Instead you park it in their lot and essentially pay for taxi service back to Sand Island.
