San Miguel Intel? - Naturita to Uravan

Looking to take advantage of the flows this weekend. And after losing an oar in Snaggletooth this week, I'm looking for a mellow day

How long is this stretch?

Ideally, we'd like to camp at the take out (and avoid hauling gear on the boat), but we might not be able to put in until Saturday afternoon -- so, Im thinking a night on the river will be our best bet. Camping options?

its a nice mellow run somewhere around 16 miles. you could do it in ~5 hours if you have some good flows, give or take an hour. If you just want to go to uravan, there is the ballpark putin/takeout, right after the bridge. there are fire rings & a porta-potty, the bugs are showing up everywhere in these parts. Other camp options are on the Dolores, 2 camps there though the 1st is so over grown I really don't even know where it is anymore, the 2nd is on the left after a minor rapid & has a nice little hike. From there you could take out at bisket rock, ~MM84 on hwy141. The distance from the Uravan ball park to bisket rock is ~ 12 miles; 3-4hrs.

Sweet. Thanks for the intel. Very informative. Only discouraging remark was about the bugs :-/
