I got this reply from Susan Behery: We are into Monsoon Season now so rains will be unpredictable and potentially high-volume. If it doesn't rain, we'll see flows somewhere between 1000 and 2000 for the next couple of weeks- if it rains though, we will have some spikes like you see in the gages right now.
USGS Current Conditions for the Nation
The release at Navajo will remain at 350 cfs for the forseeable future so there won't be any changes from our end. Keep watching this crazy weather!
So I have done the upper SJ at 500 in solo open canoe, and the lower at 350. We portaged Govt, and carried some gear around 8' then ran canoes thru fine.
I would welcome any comments by anyone who has been down in open canoe at 2000??
8000? (see spike in graph above....)
thanks for any comments
