I think I'll be on the lower Juan as a back-up on the 17th. If everyone pays for the Salt permit, next year there will be fresh water and golden toilets at all of the camps! Cheers, Don Sullivan! You and the boys do a great job in that magical place!

bob, thanks for the offer but i think i will put in for one of hte march dates.
Semievolved- a buddy and i are ready to go for a low water self support kayak trip if it gets up even a bit higher...between 200-300, if youre interested (and it flows)
maybe we should discuss planning a santa fe/Pojo locos.... NM to Salt rally, share gas etc... i have a 4 door LB Taco, will fit 3-4 SS kayakers and camping gear. keep me in mind if you end with a permit in march! we get 4 days off per week from the FD, (really i am often busy) but there is alway potential to rally...!

we are keen on a salt trip,(of course we all think about it every winter) and my understanding is that its still absolutely worth it if you are in a little boat, and dont have high (water) standards...
i would ideally like do a pre-permit trip if possible, but that window is closing fast...
got lots of other ideas for local self support runs, but this one is definitely right at the top.
cheers, Abe

I am trying to pay for my permit on the Salt and the computer system says that my confirmation number is invalid. I have an email saying I was confirmed. I emailed them, but its Friday night.
Have any of you guys had this issue?
Do you think, this Kinsail company will drop me because I didn't/couldn't pay?

When a Nation Wide On Line Computer system built by the lowest bidder, goes live for the first time
Any thing is possible
Nothing is guaranteed.

I recommend you speed dial the Kinsail Help Desk and hope to talk to a real person
not a computer.
