Hennig stated early on that everyone else was comfortable with the trip length, you just made some assumptions based on your personal experiences that didn't apply here. Hell, three women ran/swam the GC on Paco Pads a few years back; it's not my cup of tea but more power to them.

For any kind of group activity, having a shared vision is one of the most important factors in the success as measured by how much satisfaction everyone in the group gets out of it. Sure, some folks may have wanted to take longer but they realized this was the condition of the trip and accepted that it would be better than sitting back in Munich watching futbol.

You don't have to keep your thoughts to yourself, just give others the benefit of the doubt and realize they may be OK with doing it differently from how you'd approach it.

Take care,

Hi All, just for the fun of it, I have started a new Facebook page called

Grand Canyon River Trip Participants Needed.

The URL is below. If you are looking to join a trip, or are looking for folks to join your trip, looking for a ride across the river, looking to see who launches the same day you do, here's another page to help with all that!
