Roaring Fork Beta?

Looking to do some boating on the Roaring Fork over the next few weeks as I live nearby and have never rafted it (still fairly new). I have done up to class 3 on the Animas and Deso, but I don't really want anything bigger than that like slaughterhouse. I was thinking about running black bridge to Veltus, per American Whitewater. What's the beta on this run? AW says there's a few II+ and one III called cemetery. Is this just a read an run or is there anything I will need to worry about? I will most likely be just taking myself and my wife on our 12'.

If you can read the river and are comfortable maneuvering your boat you'll be fine. You'll use two rivers as your takeout unless you really like carrying your boat. Veltus is a kayak takeout. Bring your fishing pole and consider going Carbondale down if you have the time.

Definite on all that melted said, though if you have time the extra miles to South Canyon or Tibbets are worth considering. Also, go back and read the recent pissing thread on the Ark. Tell anyone else about the fork and we will kill you.
