So I think this is my first Buzz post, but have been lurking for a while getting tips and what not (thanks BTW, very informative!)
So, I took a week off on the week of 4/21 hoping to get on the Owyhee River. With current conditions, it looks like almost no chance of there being enough water to get down it then. Because of that, most of the people bailed on a trip, but a few still want to get out on something. Thinking maybe the John Day (Clarno to Cottonwood) or possibly the Rogue if the weather is looking way better down there. Also open to suggestions and don't mind driving out of the NW. The Illinois is awesome, but a little to spicy for me to row with my GF and dog. If there is an awesome class 3ish river that I'm not thinking of please let me know! Grande Ronde is an option too, but will likely be pretty cold up there at this time.
We are somewhat flexible on dates, but sometime between 4/21-4/27... with the most probable being Thursday-Sunday (4/24-27) because it includes the weekend when most people have off.
So far there are 3 late 20/30 year olds going and our river dog. We like beer and meat
and are fairly tolerable/tolerant people... just looking for some extra company. We have everything needed for multiday trips with room to spare, so kayakers are welcome as well.
Let us know if your interested or if you have a river idea I'm not thinking of.
