We are considering a 2 day trip from Pumphouse to Catamount Bridge (29 miles) and it splits the trip up into two relatively equal days. Would the camps below State Bridge (Windy Point or Double Pine) be better?

I should have been paying closer attention to the camps when we floated this stretch a few weeks ago, but things flew by rather fast at 8000cfs

Double Pine is a really nice camp. You can only get to it via the river.

dBarrett- head downstream.
Cable will have 30-40 differnent groups stopping on your beach. There is no shade there. The area to camp can hold 2-3 tents, in full sun.

Windy Point- drive your truck (with no trailer) down the single lane dirt road and check for open site (4 sites there?) if open setup a tent...then raft. The dirt road is just south of the actual bridge over the river.

Two Pines- that is the campsite up a bench just before a rapid, river left? 1 mile down from Windy point. Good site but smaller.

Before Bond Site- Also great site just before Bond, that you can "see" from road if you pull the car over and get on the tracks. It has a great littel beach and 2 big trees for shade (river left). You could even ferry across in a kayak or SUP to setup a tent prior to running the river.
