Raft/Equipment Rental: Tatshenshini?

I am looking into the logistical mountain of floating the Tatshenshini. I am putting together the costs and wonder about renting gear. I can bring my own, but would have to drive. Just curious about an outfitter for this stretch.

Anybody done this float?

I am hoping that i land a permit for this coming year. This trip has been at the top of my list for years. Please share any info your find (and invite me if you have a permit!) Thanks, Tres

Its a wait list, Im number 122 i think. The ranger told me it is 2-3 years but if you are flexible on dates its pretty fast. He said many people pass on dates every year and that if you are really flexible its possible in a year of 2.

Based on my time off from work , the earliest I could go is 2018. Is it advised to get on the list now so I can get a permit in two years? Or could I accidentally draw too early and not be ready?

They'll let you defer one year, so I'd get on the list for this fall. They send a notice out in November(I think. Maybe early Dec) letting you know your number on the list. We started out in the mid 200s and were down to very low 100s after two seasons. Slightly more than a year due to getting in the list in Sept.
Obviously, if you're willing to do 'shoulder season' trips, you'll get on faster.
