Hey Phish, Assuming you are a group of experienced river folks, you should be able to get mom, kids and boat in the middle of your group and have her follow an experienced boater in front of her, especially if you go slow. Maybe a safety kayaker stays close by, but maybe not if you don't have one. Kid-O's are in PFD's at all times on the river. Water temp is 22.4 oC (72 oF). If it's still warm and a nice couple of days, everyone should have a blast. Report back on how it goes... yours, Tom

Maybe have the kids jump in a more experienced boat for the few Rapids there is concern for? That way there is less to worrie about for the new oars person?

I would think that would keep everything inside the realm of do ability?

Now that's a good idea, less stress for the new boater, and she still gets to boat with her kids, I like it.
