i have a friend with a caravan ex on amphibious floats. it is a big plane, the floats are 47' long! but, it seats 8 with gear. not sure if he would be into it, but maybe? also, how far do you fly in?

my plane can carry me and an additional 300 pounds, but it is tiny. i could probably carry my 11x19 cat, but not much more.

3200ft strip is doable! probably would not be with a full load going out, but coming in is a different story.

Summer float to fish

Anyone ever put a trip together here? I'm looking to float and fish Schaefer to Essex in July or August. Was thinking about bringing girl and our two 9' fish cats as described in a fly fishing magazine article. Also have a 14' SB round boat I could bring if necessary. Since water levels are likely going to be lower than usual thought I would post here to see if anyone had some advice for us or others. Mainly interested in the great scenery and fly fishing for cutthroat trout. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Disregard my previous request

Found a previous post with answers I was looking for. Not sure I will risk it this trip on the fishing cats. Maybe more river than they are capable of.

I'm local, but out of time off.

Let me know if I can help with shuttle logistics.
