The prices are just guesses. I did have steaks in twice the way I copied and pasted it. That was $100 per night for steak. I guarantee you 20 steaks at Costco are going to be way more than that. Yes I could go more dirtbag but we kind of live large out there.
Would have blown your mind for real the $250 ahi loin that we roasted whole on the grill with a panko wasabi crust. So good. But a budget buster. No one complains. I think the trip I posted was for 17 people. So even if we used the whole budget it was barely over a $100 per for food for the 7 days.
Use what you can throw away the rest.
I completely disagree about Costco. Respectfully. Most of their produce does not hold up in a cooler worth a damn. The apples and most fruit come with waaaay too much packaging and the portions on most things does not serve you for a river trip. Their meat is good but I find it cheaper at Winco or locally usually.
Cheeses, crackers, chips, frozen shrimp are Costco items and the chinet paper plates.
