Hells Canyon/Lower Salmon combo

We have a permit for Hells Canyon in mid-July. We are driving a long ways for the trip so would like to maximize the number of on water days. One option would be to float Hells Canyon to Pittsburgh, then shuttle over to the Lower Salmon and float to Heller Bar. We would miss about 20-30 miles on the Snake below Pittsburgh down to the confluence. The other option is just to float the Snake all the way to Heller Bar and miss the Lower Salmon. Anybody have preferences on which option would be best with respect to rapids, scenery, camps, shuttle and jetboat presence? Thanks for any info you can pass on.

already a recent thread on this. Take out at pittsburg and then do the lower salmon to Hellar. Then do the Wallowa/Grande Ronde from Minam to Troy for further fun.
