Hey Studytime, I am surprised the "puckers" on this list didn't chime in. If you have a trip member that has a big kitchen, freezer space, and loves to cook, your trip can cook dinners ahead of time and freeze them solid into "pucks.". When travel/rig time arrives, the pucks go into the coolers, and on down the river. Each puck comes out of the cooler on the appropriate day in the morning, so it can completely thaw, then in camp in the evening, a pot of boiling water heats the puck to temp, side dish and dessert are made, and it's dinner time. My sweetie and I were introduced to this on our last trip, and WOW, it really decreased the kitchen work. All the best, and Voodooo, Have a Great trip! yours, tom

16 full days to diamond

For August I prefer to do 16 full days to Diamond Creek. 1 day in the rapid section following great shade at bridge canyon 2 pmish, nightfloat and takeout Pearce on the 18th day. However, the old super sweet wave just above sandy point is coming back so I'd definitely plan an all day surf session there if you have the time You could row home in the moonlight and camp at Sandy Point or a few more miles to South Cove. So I'd make it a 19 or 20 day for South Cove if you have the time and Pearce Scary permitting.

Were you thinking Southcove takeout or Pearce?

Whats the age group, and interests or style of trip? Horseshoes, canyoneering, kayaking, etc.?

As dry and warm as its been this winter its gotta be wet this monsoon? ?. I just pulled off a trip that said they were nightfloating last night(1/31) eating pre-made spinach lasagna and sipping hot totties in their pjs on the dance floor at midnight !
