Sorry for the post from left field, making a reference to river god's and river superstitions.
In the Royal Gorge where I used to guide, there is a face in the rocks above sunshine, many boaters call it "skag", very bad luck to talk about while boating the gorge, in my opinion, hence the keel dragging comment. Post regarding river god's by a canyon city boater made me think of it. Apologies to all confused parties for the off topic comment. And for bad words that may have been offensive to some users.
