3 or 4 days Dos Rios to Alder Point. A couple of class 3's, big solitude, and the abandoned railway tracks. Nice camp at north fork confluence. Headwinds in the PM. You want at least 1000 cfs at Ft. Seward gauge. More is better, it's 13K now. Put in and take outs are primitive and a walk from the road, leave the heavy stuff at home. This is really old info.... try calling the church in Alder Point and ask the pastor to help with a shuttle.
Middle Fork above Covelo to Dos Rios...2 days, scout Coal Mine Falls near Dos Rios!
Favorite day runs
Outlet Creek to Dos Rios...Class 3 along the Covelo Road. Easy shuttle.
Hearst to Outlet Creek...Class 2-3, really remote, long shuttle, bears, long enough to overnight.
North Fork above Covelo...Class 2 or 3 might have to walk in though some locked gates...it's been a few years since I did this.
Pillsbury to Van Arsdale...access via Potter Valley...you need Pillsbury to have 800+cfs. There's a class 4 @ Dennis the Menace.
10 mile creek near Laytonville to the So Fork...some 4's and a 5. You need to be there after a storm.
You'll be in a really rural area, bring your beat up truck and leave valuables at home.
