Chatooga in early Aug?

Hey guys- I'm a west coast native that will be out in Georgia visiting family in early August. I was wondering if the Chatooga will have any water in it then or if it's even worth a trip up from the Atlanta area.

Anyone know the area? The gages are only so helpful.....

It will depend on the weather forecast

It will all depend on rain fall. The Chattooga River usually runs year round and is fun even at lower flows. It just will depend on what the weather is like. If there is some good rain, then it will be pumping.

Chattooga can be run at levels as low at 1ft. This is actually a good level for a section 4 pfd. But if you're in the Atlanta area there is also a whitewater park in Columbus GA, the Ocoee, Nantahala and many other awesome rivers to check out.
