Browns canyon this weekend.

What's the deal for getting a permit to run Browns now that it's a national monument. Do you even need a permit or do I need to get a day of. I'm sure it is going to be mad house with fibark going on.

A madhouse? Heehee - ran it last weekend and not a soul on it - water's too high for most folks.

Last Saturday River Runners wouldn't let us launch on their beach due to having a full morning of groups. It was pretty steady from 11am-2pm.

We ended up using the rail.

Even though it is now a National Monument, the access hasn't changed. If you use one of the public access points you need to pay the normal daily fees ($7/vehicle I think).
