Arctic/Yukon/Alaska Whitewater Trips!
Any good suggestions for wilderness whitewater rafting trips up north? Did the Tat/Alsek last year, great scenery, but lacking whitewater. Looking for extended wilderness with more consistent whitewater (III-IV) typically. It seems like most trips up north have a lot of flat water, and most info is geared towards the canoeist. (i.e. most guidebooks describe a lot of the rapids as portages). And yes I've read most guidebooks, embik's doesn't include arctic stuff, and Ken Madson's is good, but again it is primarily geared towards canoeing, and not necessarily rafting.
The list so far:
Anyone done these trips, or have other to add to the list, or any canoeist that did a lot of portaging on a trip and thought it would be good for rafting?
