Looks like Westwater hovered around 13,000 all weekend. I would love to hear some trip reports!

I boated it Saturday at about 13k. We had a hell of time catching Lower Little D Camp and put a tear in my boat while trying to hug the shore. My first time in the canyon but I was with a couple old hands. We only had two boats after several people bailed. It was full on that's for sure. It felt like Cross Mtn gorge at 20k until I got to Skull. That thing is a beast of its own.

Floated through on Saturday. River was pumping around 13,000 and everything was perfect. Took the easy line through Skull punching the lateral on river left in order to avoid divorce and losing the boat. Can't wait to get back.

i have never seen cross at 20k, not sure if many people ever have. not sure it would have any correlation to westwater.

water was brown and fast, still a pretty simple run. only a couple of things to avoid on the run, and they are not too hard to miss. fortunately no wind on the float out!

Running just under 10K right now. Never been on a Westwater trip at this high of a level. How many days does it take at this level? Can you do it in a single day?

Westwater is always possible as a single day. I've gone from the Black Rocks in R/H through Westwater in a day at low water easily.

13.5K and rising

WW is currently flowing at 13,500. NOAA is predicting over 17,000 by June 5th. Any WW veterans care to guesstimate the flow one month from now? Anyone got some trip reports from Memorial Day weekend?

We ran it 5/22. I think it was only 10 1/2 k, but that is more than double what I had ever run it at before. Funnel came up FAST, I can see how if you're not aware of the big flipper wave in the top left it could sneak up on you. Skull was...interesting. Tried to row forward to hit the wave and sneak down the left, found out that really doesn't work too well. Will row backwards to punch the wave next time. On the bright side it was good stability testing for the new cataraft... Everything else was easy.
