Any Beta on Ruby Horsethief Camps?

A recent change of plans has us looking to Ruby Horsethief for this weekend and there are only a few campsites available. There are 14 in our group of 4 boats. The sites we have camped in before are reserved and the only available sites for our 1st night are: Beaver Tail 1 and 2, Cottonwood 2 and 4, and Banjo Camp. The Cottonwood sites seem very close to each other, and the Banjo camp seems to have a bit more space. Beaver Tail camps seem to not have many reservations so I'm a bit skeptical there. Anyone camped at any of these at 20,000+? Shade or side hikes? I searched both this site and google and didn't find much.

Cottonwood camps are fine and are several hundred yards apart. You won't see the other camps and probably won't hear them unless they're partying hard. We camped at Cottonwood 5 and Blackrock and were worried that with all the camps close together it would be like a State Park sort of "Campground" but it didn't feel like that at all and they weren't *that* close together. The shade is nice. Can't speak to the other spots.

CW 2 is one of my favorites of the Cotton Woods. Big trees for shade, and you never really see other campers. We camped at Beaver Tail 2 the first year it was a camp. It was buggy because there was tall grass, and the tent areas are back from the river a good bit. I imagine it's only gotten better over the last 2 years. I would go BT 2 over BT 1, but we've not camped there at 20k+.

We'll be at CW 1 on Saturday night. If you grab that one come swing by for a beer!

Banjo had some pretty bad mosquitoes last time we went. Thankfully it was off season and we were able to move down to CW1 or 2.
