Was the raft decent of Buttresses a 1st?

Couple guys R2ed a 13'er from 4mile to the library at +- 700 cfs. Was this a first raft decent?

Pearen, Raftus? I've never heard of it.

I know its been duckied, tubed (personally) and kmart rafted at lower flows, but is this a first for a raft at real flows?

Anyone rowed it?

I love that rapid, at least in a kayak; so nice to be catching that with water still. The lightning I could do without.

Oh and that full on rescue mission with 5 fire trucks and the dive boat? Kid stranded on a rock below Ebin G. Nice work team.

Ran that in my 15 1/2' Aire. I think it was 1996. I don't remember the level but there was almost no room under the highway bridge so we had to take out and not continue into town. A big raft in a little creek.

I've looked at that for years, looking for the right flows for a small cat.
Always looked too narrow for oars. Glad everyone is enjoying these flows.

What's up Dave - Yes Fishbone & I R2ed it Tuesday after work.
The 13' Maravia Spider was awesome in there. The upper rapid was Greeaat! Other fun stuff included the branch clusters in the face, lightning (you mentioned), 2" of clearance on the bridge (only river right), the log down 1/2 way over the middle stretch, & 1 broken paddle.. Fun S Turns. Fun little drops towards the end...Rafting wise a Hyside Mini-Me would be perfect - we had a great time and nothing taking off in town and going for beer n wings.! Granted we were a little sore next morning lol.
We offered to pick up the dude on the rock, but they certainly had it under control.
Not a bad couple of days...Numbers run Sunday & raft creekin Tuesday!
