Thanks everyone for the advice! Everything went well, my wife is the only one who fell out, and that was only because she leaned too far out on a small rapid and was ejected. She laughed, and we pulled her back in.
We hit every rapid, and only stopped once each run to put a bit more air in the aging raft. Our raft is elderly, and maybe that makes a difference. It wasn't riding over the waves so much as bending to each one. I thought it was going to bend right in half in one rapid! I didn't see that happening so much with other boats, so I guess our boat is a bit long in the tooth. No major problems at all, otherwise. We stopped and jumped off the cliffs a bit, and I discovered my Perception PFD is really lousy for swimming in, but it floats like a champ. I guess that's the beauty of throw ropes, you can pull people back in. Heh! Big thanks to the folks in the red raft that pushed me back to shore, because it was going to be a long swim. Ha ha ha!
The tweens had a great time, hollering and holding on and jumping in for swims in the calm sections.
And this old raft, it floats again. Hopefully, a few more times before we replace it.
It looks like we will be looking to get something a bit more modern for next year. I think this one might make a few more trips though.
