Shuttle options for private GC trip?

We are currently 1 body too many for the outfitter provided truck ride from Flagstaff to Lee's Ferry. It is either hire an entire van thru the outfitter for one person (expensive!) or hire some sort of private shuttle/taxi. We are also in the same situation for the return shuttle from Peach Springs to Flagstaff.

Looking for feedback and options for this sort of scenario. Trip is in April. Anybody on this board live in the Flagstaff area who is willing to drive a private shuttle for some extra dough?

I think it's GCGuide or 86304 that posts here and is from Flag. Maybe there is a way to look up that person and send a pm.

Maybe try a Craigslist ad? But, you are taking your chances an honorable person will do it.

Interesting question. You'd think it would be easy to find someone to do a drive for you.

We need a "Driver wanted" and a "Driver available" website. Type in a zip code and it shows the info. Hey, is that a million dollar idea?

(Sorry to hijack the thread so soon).

Who is your outfitter? Most of the companies I know of can easily handle the full compliment of 16, which is the largest allowed trip size.
Please take a look at my Photo Web Gallery.
I also have here some gear reviews (that I might update soon).

you can always fit one more body, just cram in there.

You must be renting a bunch of gear or something. You can drive your own vehicles to Lee's Ferry and use the guys in Meadville (River Runners something or another) and they'll come get your cars and bring them to Diamond or Pearce, whichever you want. The "stack em' in the van" thing is not necessary if you have all your own stuff.

You shouldn't need to rent a van from your outfitter, just a driver. Have them drive your vehicle...
