As you know, I'm sure, it is strictly a float. Not a rapid to be found anywhere. There were some nice hikes. The one I liked the best was 3 Canyon. We did a layover there and was able to hike quite a bit. We were a little confused on where the camp was. You need to float up the creek a hundred feet or so to find a good spot to take out. You can camp on either the right or left side of the creek. We stayed on the left (as you paddle up the creek). A few groups could camp there.
The mosquito's didn't start until about 15-20 miles past 3 Canyon. Then they got so bad, we skipped our next planned stop and went all the way to Mineral Bottom and took out. The bugs were not too bad at Mineral Bottom. Hope your trip goes well, and the bugs are gone. Enjoy!
