Play park at Pumphouse?

I read that the play park at Pumphouse is finished. Does anyone know if rafts can still put in at Launch A? Is there a slot, or is the play wave raft-friendly?

I know the water is pretty big up there now, just wondering what it looked like when they opened it in May...

Just keep your boat straight and you will flush right through it. If you want you can scout it from the put in. At high water it is a nice river wide wave and at lower water there is a boat shoot on river right.

Rafts CAN still put in at the first launch.

In speaking with a BLM lady and a kayak crew doing swift water training, the magic number seems to be between 700 and 1000 cfs (as far as the wave goes). I have been through it lower and way higher. At above 4k there is a little train on the middle right that I go through when I have my fly rods and stuff. But the kayaking crew said they tried pretty hard to flilp a raft and they really couldnt do it. So youre probably good.

Theres my info- but probably dont listen to me, Ive only been rowing for a year.
"Yeah I called her up, she gave me a bunch of crap about me not listenin' to her enough, or somethin'. I don't know, I wasn't really payin' attention."

We ran it the weekend before last at 5600 cfs. We hit the park head on and it was a fun rapid. We did hit the yarmony hole.

The wave is good but the eddy access is gone. You have to hike after each ride. I'm gonna try and go tomorrow afternoon and we update.
