NRS Packraft for Emergency one person boat

What do you folks think of the NRS pack raft ($575) as being a suitable one person last ditch emergency boat to be carried on a very large raft during a very remote and long wilderness trip? I know there are "better" pack rafts out there (Bayleen/Alpacka), but the NRS pack raft seems it might do the job for one person w/about 20 pounds of survival gear to get to the next cavitation. Big river, fast current, but very few rapids not more than Class II.

The pack raft would be kept in my "Bail Out Bag" (BOB) in the rowing station in a dry bag and would be the first thing I take on shore before securing the boat for the night.

Since you truely live in a remote place I say not a bad idea.

Even the most remote multi day trip in the lower 48 is like a supper highway compared to what you are getting into.

That is an interesting idea, and not a bad one. Alaska is it's own world.

I'm curious, if you're contemplating adding a whole inflatable to your bug out bag, what you carry on your person when you're on the raft in the bush. It seems to me you should have at the very least basic survival gear on your person at all times. If you've got that dialed, which I bet you do, adding the extra boat might make sense for a personal SHTF in the bush event. Sorry I can't add anything about the NRS Packraft; I haven't seen one yet.
