The N. Umpqua in the 4000 to 5000 cfs range is big (and very cold) water fun. You don't like 5' waves? Any potential new logs from a big storm/high flow and very very cold water are your major hazard, besides big water Class IV. Take a scout from the road on PinBall and any others you may be concerned about. Good part is you can do a lot of road scouting. Also the store at Idelyld has great breakfast burritos as well as home made chicken and beef burritos yo! We'll make some laps when down there for work in a couple weeks what ever the flow may be.
