Lower Owyhee Levels???

I am planning a trip to the lower Owyhee (Rome to Birch Creek) in a couple weeks. Any opinions out there of how long the flows will maintain? A friend of mine passed through Rome last week and said there was a lot of snow in the mountains and the snotel map shows 90% snow pack remaining, but the graph is showing a pretty consistent drop, which is confusing. Has it been too cold over there for the snow melt to increase the flows?

We will have 4-5 boats in our group, all 14 and 15-foot rafts. 3 of the oarsmen are experienced with 1 novice. I have only run the lower Owyhee once at 4,000 CFS, but never at lower water. Nuisance looks tight at lower flows. Is it possible to line rafts around Nuisance?

Thanks for the feedback!

We are running it on April 22nd.. I have no doubt that there will be enough water to run it.. It cooled off and what was rain that they where getting is now snow.. That's what is showing the steady decline.. It will come back up with a warm up in temp.. Most the snow and water comes out of northern Nevada that is getting a lot of snow right now.. We have taken 16 foot rafts down at 700 cfs without issue.. at that flow you can line the left hand side of nuisance or run the right hand move.. the other rapid that makes it harder when the weather drops is Montgomery... you have to make the pull right of the rock and most the water is going left.. whistling bird gets a little tight at these levels also.. you get a close up look of the hole over there.

Thanks for the feedback Cody, that is reassuring. We've been trying to get back on the Owyhee for the past several years to no avail due to low water...thought we may have missed another year with a very short window to get on the river!
