Good Place for a NewB Rafter

Alright, I finally have a boat! I should be getting my oars today assuming that UPS makes it. Anyway, I would like to get out on the river next weekend for my virgin voyage with my wife.

I did row a buddy's raft from Pumphouse to Radium before the run-off really kicked in. Now that it is in full swing, I am not so sure that I should go down that stretch. I wanted to see if you guys had some recommendations on a place to go or if the Pumphouse to Radium stretch would be a good beginning run.

Was thinking about Pumphouse to Radium again, or maybe something further down towards Glenwood.

Pumphouse to Radium is still a good beginner run. Although over 2,500 cfs becomes class III. Rancho to State Bridge is easier, and with higher flows offers some fun waves trains. State Bridge to Catamount is a longer float with several miles of class II+ and is very good for beginners. Dotsero to Blair Ranch is class I. Grizzly Creek to Two Rivers Park in Glenwood is fun with only a few easy class III. Enjoy the new boat.
