Float n Fish Co River weekend advice requested

MB Gang,

2nd year on the oars, looking to possibly take my raft down the Co river from 2 Bridges to Catamount this Saturday over the holiday weekend. Flows are looking 3,500 cfs today. We've only floated it around 1-1,300 cfs which was super easy.

My first question is how safe is that stretch at this current run off level to run that water at these higher flows?

Also is the river totally blown out and would the fishing suck? Im thinking streamers if its murky water; nymphing or streamers are the best bet? Gonna hit the fly shop and get some advice there too.

But my major concern is safety. Im getting better on the sticks and feel more and more confident in my skills. Just some heads up advice would be helpful, Im not an idiot and have tremendous respect for the power of water.

Thanks all for your advice! See you on the river...

It's a mellow stretch- even at these flows. Toughest move you'll have to make is the bridge at Catamount. Hammer the bank with streamers- if you're gonna nymph just tie on two Pats Rubber Legs.

Very mellow. Can't speak much to the fishing, but there are no significant rapids on that stretch. Should be some fun wave trains, though.
