First raft- for fishing, easy day trips
We are looking at getting a raft for the end of this season and/or for next season on the water. I have been rowing other peoples rafts/drift boats for the past 10 years and now would like my own. We are looking at a 13-16 ft. raft for day trips and fishing. We would be on the water only about 2-3 times a month and are continuing to discuss new (PVC) vs. older Hyp. packages. We will be floating lower water for fishing and easy day trips. I have looked through a lot of the threads regarding new vs. old and some of the cheaper rafts that would fit our budget. My intuition is telling me go with the RMR PVC new but if I can get a raft for $1,000 to $1,500 I can put a fairly nice frame on it for what we are trying to do. So... I guess my question is will a cheaper PVC raft last around 5 years for what we are trying to accomplish until we can afford a little bit better raft?
Thanks for any advice -
