my wife and i woke up in our tent on easter morning a few years ago to find young kids running around the campsite looking for easter eggs that their folks had hidden before getting on the white river and spending the day afloat.
seemed like a great idea- and now that we have a young one, the idea seems even better. does anyone have a "can't miss" suggestion for a one-night trip to introduce our one-year old to the river at that time of year- should be warm enough that we don't turn her off to being on the boat- as we're hoping to do the san juan and some other gentle floats with her later in the year.
i've never been on the white- and was considering it, as well as ruby/horsethief or even rio chama in new mexico. can anyone lend some info on these runs or provide other suggestions? thanks in advance.
