Green showing 8150 cfs at Green River city, that's 100 miles down stream from other gauges. Looks about right to me. Yampa dropped pretty quick this year, faster than average.
Yeah, the #s add up .... I think I am just confused by the sudden drop and averages. Maybe its a difference in the way the Deso gauge averages and how Flaming Gorge releases its average of 1700 cfs.
Its still a bit odd to me....
The Yampa is dropping and flowing right at average. The Green below the Dam is at average. But Deso is at like 60% of median for what is an average to high year by snowpack. Why the difference? I wonder if the Deso averages include pre-dam years on the Green which would definitely throw off the figures. Don't have time to dig up the #s right now but leaves me curious.
I was just expecting the run to remain closer to the stated median for longer. But it will still be much higher than I have experienced most of the last few years of boating in late July and August.
