Jennifer, you're clearly associating with the wrong boaters these days. Good story though - it reminds me a bit of a story one of my original boating buddies had. He was putting in at Dowd Chutes during runoff - on the upper end of his ability. He saw some little kid at the put-in getting ready to slide into the water in a little playboat. He points this out to the guy he's paddling with and says, "hey we better tell that guy's dad that he shouldn't have his kid putting in here." Then the kid slides out into the water, bow stalls and starts throwing loops downstream through the intro waves. Turns out it was a Dane Jackson, who didn't seem to be having too many problems in class IV at the time.
