Anyone know what the projected flows for the Ark are? We will be up in the Springs early/mid August just before our Deso/Grey trip. We were suppose to be up there this month, but plans fell through and I am seeing all the facebook posts from my friends up there enjoying this runoff. Last time we were up there the water was low (under 500), so I am hoping this year will be better.
August 1-15th should be 700 at Wellsville which correlates to about 450 at Numbers. After the 15th it will drop to whatever the native flow is...this is pretty standard every year barring rain events.
Could we still see the Ark above 1000 cfs in Browns for the whole commercial season? I think it's a possibility. Otherwise what lmyers said is the typical flows. This year just keeps surprising me and has been anything but typical.
On a serious note today, please keep in your thoughts the situation that happened at big drop yesterday. I have no idea what the family is going through.
It is very possible flows might drop slow and still hold strong into August. A little early to accurately project that, but if current patterns hold there may not be a need for the VFMP this season.
