Gore Canyon Whitewater Park is Open
5 years in the making... The construction at the Gore Canyon Whitewater Park is substantially complete and people can access the site this weekend.
STAY ON THE ROCKS, don't tear up the fabrics or the vegetation. Infact you can help out by watering any dry vegetation and the erosion control mats. Clean up the trash and use the restrooms. Respect the place because it is for you.
SCOUT if you are putting in at launch 1, the wave is bigger this week.
A big shout out to Grand County who led the project and claimed a RICD water right to keep water in the river.
A huge thank you to the excellent people at BLM Kremmling who helped make it happen (pay your fees and thank the staff when you see them there, they were very helpful!)
Colorado Water Conservation Board and Eagle County for major funding support and Caroline Bradford for leading the fundraising efforts.
The outstanding construction crew at Kissner GC out of Cedaredge who went over and above to make sure the wave is awesome and everyone is happy.
Aaron Lombardo for the final tweaks on the wave and the first loop.
Jeremy Signorini for the photo documentation.
American Whitewater and all of you who wrote letters of support and donated, and generally make the river a great place to be.
everything propagates as a wave
