Calling all the ladies...

The Mountain Kayak Polo league in Ft Collins has one of only a handful of women's teams in the nation, and we'd like you to come play with us! "The Skirts" are hosting an all-women's night on the court this Tuesday to introduce other gals to the sport. We will go over rules, technique, and equipment and we hope to recruit a few more of you into the league. Kayak Polo is a great way to stay in shape through the winter, and it's a lot of fun. It is a contact sport, so a roll is handy, but don't let that stop you if you are a beginner...you'll learn quick.

WHERE: Edora Pool & Ice Center (EPIC), located at Prospect and Riverside in Fort Collins

WHEN: Tuesday, the 17th at 7:30

COST: Free!

BRING: Just bring a skirt. We will provide all the other equipment. Rash guard and booties are recommended.

**There will be an open (co-ed) demo night on Thursday the 19th for everyone else. Both nights are free, everyone is welcome, and all you need to bring is your sprayskirt. There are many levels of play, from beginner to very competitive, and we can help place you in the right team for league games this fall and winter. Season starts Thursday night, Oct 26th.

For more info on the sport, league fees, dates, etc, see the website at: http://mkp.kayakpolo.com/index.php

Hope to see you there!

Kayak Polo

We had a blast last Tuesday night at the Women's Demo for kayak polo. We have enough new women to start 3 new all-women's teams during the fall season (starting this Thursday, Oct 26). Maybe next year we can take 2 women's teams to Nationals in North Carolina.

We could still find a place on a team for a chick or two. Send me or Holley a note if you are interested.

Agreed!

Polo is a great way to stay in shape over the winter, fine tune your roll, meet other like minded boaters, and lose sleep on a thursday night.

Check it out!
