Why are the off topic (the eddy) Threads not being listed on the home page
For example the SEC posts are not being displayed on the home page

Alright, alright, Booth. When we first put out The Eddy, people complained because they were coming to the site for boating information but 4 of the 5 threads on the Recent Threads list were TroutBobbers rantings in The Eddy. So when we put out the new format, we made it so that the Recent Threads list included all forums except The Eddy.

I can't believe that thread is still around. Sometimes I'm tempted to lock it, just to see the look on your face

I am glad the eddy is in it's own section. I feel like the Buzz is useful again. I was starting to go away from it because I didn't care about who Trout Bobber voted for, or why people hate him, or whatever and the rest of the bullshit. It's there is people want it, but at least it isn't taking over the last posts list which is where we go to see what is going on.

Fair enough. If most people are not interested in seeing what's happening in the Eddy then so be it. I feel the Eddy is a great place for all to see and should not be censored at all. both on this forum and on the river!!

For instance....people that can't boat b/c of broken ribs can discuss Off topics in the Eddy and still feel part of the community

People can come to the Eddy to blow off steam in the off season when there's not a ton going on in the boating world.

And to comment on the blocking the thread............Go to one Georgia football game and you'll understand a lot more about why this thread persists.

I wouldn't be against if there was a seperate "recent posts" box for the Eddy on the main page. It's just that it got to where it overwhelmed the "real" topics. And by the way, I've been to a Dawgs game. They are my number 2 team (I'm a Buff). I went to Dawg's games before I ever heard of CU, growing up in GA with an other brother at UGA. Hell, the first time I got loaded in public was tailgating in Athens when I was 13 or 14 or something with my brother. I was an early bloomer, and I remember a hot college girl asked what year I was, and I said "freshman". Then she found out I meant high school. Go Dawgs! (and Buffs!)

BTW...no one is asking to have the Eddy not separated into it's own forum but to have it's topic, if the most recent, listed on the home page so people can see there is a new post in the Eddy. Should really be a big deal
