How to prevent page from jumping down?

well when I click on a post it just jumps randomly down the page - to where it thinks I left off - even if this is the first time I am reading a thread. Is there a way to make it stop?

Just trying to take a guess at it so I looked at my settings because my display doesnt do that.
click on user control panel, edit options, page down to thread display options, there is a thread display mode.....i have linear - oldest first

what does your say? if its different, try the setting i have and let me know if it works

I'm having the same problem, and my options are set to "Oldest first".

I thought it was a board wide change, should would be nice to turn it off.

gh, my settings are as you said and I get the same thing mania is asking about.

Mine started doing it with the last big update a couple of weeks ago. I mentioned it but then I figured it was done on purpose.
