How to add events to the calendar?

We know you like to post them in the Boater's forum and you will get some eyeballs that see them there but the truth is they will fade away and blend into the threads. The best way to get exposure for your events is to add them to the events calendar. We will be working to promote the events on our calendar in various ways (email newsletter, RSS feeds on other sites, etc). So be smart and add your events to the Buzz calendar!

So here is a quick tutorial on how to add your events to the calendar.

First you need to determine the type of event you want to add. There are 2 primary options:
  • Ranged Event - If you are posting an event that starts at a certain time and ends at a certain time like competition, dinners, or multi-day events then this is the option you want. You set the start time (and date) and the ending time (and date)
--> Click here to setup a ranged event.
    .
  • All Day Event - If you are posting an event then is a whole day you can use this option. It's real easy, just plug in the date and you are set.
--> Click here to setup an All Day Event.
Don't forget you can add a lot of information to the event including a description, driving directions, images, logos, links, etc.

You can also use the calendar system to manage who all is going to be going. There is an RSVP type of feature (kind of like evites) that allows Buzz members to say if they are going or not which might help for planning.
