Feature to turn certain forums off in "new posts" link?

Then the rafters wouldn't have to read kayak threads and vs versa?

You don't "have" to read anything. That's what the separate forums are for... If you don't want to read rafting threads don't click anything from the rafting forum. At least that's what I generally do...

I'm a "new post" guy. Rarely look at specific forums. I'm pretty sure vbulletin offers this feature..

I'm pretty sure you can figure out how to not click on rafter links, but then how would you troll?

Just look to the right of the title on the portal boys. It'll tell you the forum. If it has rafting in it, its a rafting thread or more than likely a thread that has nothing to do with rafting or whitewater at all. Since you couldnt figure that out, ill also let you know that no matter what the thread title says, it will definitely have posts in it that have nothing to do with the title. It'll have things in it talking shit about where people live and what they boat, dont boat, should boat, should or shouldn't post even if the thread was just about a cooler or a bug bite. Your best bet for a thread on actual whitewater is in the forum called the eddy. Thats typically where kayakers get the best beta while on the river so why should it be different here. Common sense right?

Unfortunately, it doesnt say if it was a front ranger post, but it probably is. Any replies that are worthwhile reading definitely are so if I were you i'd avoid this whole forum in general. You should just go down to the local unemployment office or bro brah play hole to get the badass holier than thou mtn town guy beta if thats what you're after.

Rafters, if you want badasses like these guys to read your threads, and who wouldn't, you should post them in the kayaking forums because now they know how to avoid your posts. If you need expert advice on cooler selection or bug spray for no see ums, it should definitely go in the kayaking forum or the eddy. If you dont get the advice you need you'll have to take a sick day, drive uphill and stop by the mtn town playholes on the weekdays for the best beta on when to drain your cooler.

Go into each forum you don't care to see. Click 'forum tools' and 'ignore forum'. Done.

While you're changing settings, you can also set Streetdoctor to ignore.

You got alot to learn noob. Read up kid, every piece of river info is helpful when you've only been boating for a couple years.
