Dirt Bike Trails along rivers

First I want to give a shout out to Kevin aka "bkp77" from Edwards. He sold me a sweet DR650 here on the Buzz and I love it. Thanks Dude, it runs great!

But does anyone know of any good dirt bike trails along some good stretches of whitewater or along any potential runs that would be fun riding?

The best trail guide I have found is for 4x4 vehicles but seems to have good info, maps and trip descriptions. It is:
http://www.4x4trails.net/index.php

Does anyone have any other links for good trail riding here in Colorado?

Jonny,

Headwaters of the Crystal were pretty sweet. NF, SF, & everything in between. I plan to get up towards the Encampment later this summer. There's more creeks to be done up there than what's in the guide. Beavers would be required though.

If you're on the front range, lot's of awesome ORV riding down in the Ramparts. Just go SW of Sedalia towards Devil's Head. Lot's of good stuff in the South Platte everywhere.

Another cool spot to ride is the Chukar Trail approach road down outside the Black Canyon NP. The road isn't what you go for, the giant hill climbs on these big dirtmounds are the shizznit! All are pre-existing and motorized trails.

Anyhow, PM me if you ever want to go later this summer.

Areas near the Ark

I don't do any off-roading, but there are spots along the Arkansas. The two that I know of are the Four Mile area and Texas Creek. You can also access certain sections of the Rainbow trail in the Sangre do Cristo's. I'd contact the BLM office in the area for more specific info.
